YouTube Music app for Linux

Cellar runs on Linux as a single AppImage: no repository to add, no package to build. Sign in with your YouTube Music account and it keeps itself up to date.

Free for macOS (Apple Silicon), Windows, and Linux. Needs a YouTube Music account.

Requirements

  • A 64-bit x86 (x86_64) Linux desktop.
  • FUSE 2 for AppImages (libfuse2), which most desktop distributions already have.
  • A Google account with YouTube Music.

Install

  1. Click Download for Linux to get the .AppImage.
  2. Make it executable: chmod +x Cellar-*.AppImage, or tick "Allow executing file as program" in the file's properties.
  3. Run it and sign in with Google. Sign-in opens in your own browser, on Google's page.

If it does not start, install libfuse2 (sudo apt install libfuse2 on Ubuntu and Debian) or run it with --appimage-extract-and-run. Updates install themselves.
