What Cellar adds to YouTube Music

Cellar is a free desktop app for YouTube Music on macOS (Apple Silicon), Windows, and Linux. You sign in with your own account and keep your library, likes and playlists. On top, you get the things the YouTube Music website does not have.

And also

  • Friends. Add friends by @handle, see what they are playing, send them a song with a note and react with 🔥.
  • Listening history and resume. History that syncs between your devices, and pick up the same song at the same second on another device.
  • Command palette. Cmd+K or Ctrl+K finds playlists, albums, artists and songs in your library, plus quick commands, from the keyboard.
  • Lyrics and comments. Lyrics next to the player, YouTube comments with clickable timestamps, and tracklists for DJ sets with markers on the seek bar.
  • Music videos. Switch any song with a video to video mode, pick the quality and go fullscreen with keyboard controls.
  • Library tools. Drag songs onto playlists or the queue, select many songs at once, a reorderable queue, Play next and Add to queue.
